Lifetime Fat Loss Pyramid Rule

Losing fat permanently means making changes one step at a time.

If you have type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance or even metabolic syndrome this means agonizingly slow progress. However, you know you’ve got to be extremely mindful of sugar if you already have a “sugar disease.” What to do to speed things up, lose fat, get over your sugar addiction and actually notice that your clothes are getting loose?

Check out the new article on my website on how much of each food group to eat each day to really ensure permanent weight loss. You will see the Mediterranean diet food pyramid that gives you a nice visual for how you want to eat every day. And you can read about the lifetime fat loss low glycemic "pyramid rule."

On the bottom level of the pyramid you will see the foods you want to eat the most of: fresh vegetables and fruit, mostly raw and some lightly cooked, nuts, seeds and whole grains. Eat vegetables and fruit at every meal. Eat two servings of whole grains at two meals. However, if you are obese or you have one of the other chronic high blood sugar conditions above, eat just one serving of whole grains a day.

That’s it. That's the Lifetime Fat Loss Pyramid Rule. You move the whole grains to the second level up and you can have them once or twice a day (not the evening meal) or a few times a week. The interesting thing about this way of eating is it is the way we ate here in this part of the world, that is North America, until just a few generations ago.

In my neck of the woods, Northern California, just 3 generations ago the native Americans here ate tubers, plants, seeds and nuts and occasionally wild meat. My husband informed me of this fact as he is reading a book about plants still used by the Indians of our county in the late 1890s.

We are pondering how it is in such a short period of time we have gone from eating entirely from nature and our local environment to eating almost entirely imported, packaged, sugar laden foods. Do you think this could affect our health? I think it's possible high glycemic, processed foods could be 100% responsible for all our modern diseases including obesity.

Note: To make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need and to reduce sugar cravings, make yourself a green smoothie every day.

What's new on the website?

Cilantro Pesto Recipe

Are you somebody who’s not too keen on pesto because of the super strong flavor? I am encouraging you to try this because it is so mild and so rich and tasty. It even helps you to burn fat! It’s been a real hit around my house with some picky eaters and we eat it on everything from sprouted grain tortillas (with grated melted cheese and salsa) to crackers to pasta.

Burn Belly Fat

This is about a natural fat burner that will accelerate your fat loss when used in conjunction with low glycemic eating and physical activity.
