palm kernal oil whether rancid
by: star

"The cheaper oils like soy, corn, cottonseed, canola, peanut or palm kernel are extracted with heat which makes them highly refined and rancid...."
palm kernel oil though; is a saturated fat, which by its nature has a much higher smoking point?

Lifetime Fat Loss:

I believe palm kernel oil is a saturated fat and so yes, it can be heated. I don't know if you can get palm kernel oil that is good quality and not hydrogenated but you can buy virgin coconut oil. It's a healthy saturated fat and can be heated. In fact, it's what I recommend for cooking along with olive oil or butter. Coconut oil has many nutritional benefits including increasing your metabolism and helping you to burn body fat.
